Empowering Women Program and Talk English Café

ACCES Employment is pleased to collaborate with TD Bank Financial Group to support the success of women in the workplace through the Empowering Women Program. This impactful training will create systemic change for women as we continue to build a strong source of successful employment opportunities at TD and other employers.

TD Bank Financial Group is the long-standing sponsor of the Talk English Café program. This drop-in program provides the opportunity for newcomers to practice their English conversation skills in an informal setting.
Networking for Newcomer and Refugee Youth

Networking for Newcomer and Refugee Youth

ACCES Employment, in partnership with Starbucks Canada, is opening doors to employment for newcomer youth! Over 12 months, our project features 18 sessions, serving up to 750 refugee and newcomer youth. As a result, these youth will build their networking skills, form friendships, develop a sense of community and create stronger and more opportunities for viable employment. Many will be referred to and hired by Starbucks.

IT Connections Program & Online Services Platform

Accenture has been the proud sponsor of the IT Connections program since 2013. Their support for this program extends well beyond just sponsorship. Throughout the year, in every single IT Connections cohort, Accenture brings their staff in as guest speakers, volunteers that help newcomers with mock interviews and mentors for the program participants. In early 2016, ACCES Employment was the recipient of a global grant from Accenture in the amount of $1.4M. The grant supported the development of an digital services platform that is bringing ACCES Employment services to a local, national and global audience.

Entrepreneurship Connections program

Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) were part of the inception of the ACCES Employment Entrepreneurship Connections program in 2013. They engage BDC subject matter experts to deliver workshops and volunteer in program-related activities. BDC also mentors clients in their business start-ups.
