Canadian Businesses Help ACCES Serve its Communities during the Pandemic
July 2020

During these difficult times, as Canadians are faced with the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been encouraging stories about individuals and organizations contributing their time and resources to help others in need.

ACCES is proud of the work we continue to do to serve diverse and vulnerable communities, but we are not alone in this mission. Recently, some excellent Canadian businesses have helped us and we would like to honour and acknowledge their efforts.

Royal York Dollar & Discount

RoyalYorkDiscountA Toronto entrepreneur, Nasir Uddin, owns and operates the Royal York Dollar & Discount Store at 409 Royal York Road in Etobicoke. When the COVID-19 pandemic first happened, Nasir and his family were determined to serve the community with essential items while keeping prices affordable for those on limited incomes. And, when ACCES needed to purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the protection of front-line staff and clients, Royal York Dollar & Discount was a trusted supplier when many of these items where hard to source. ACCES is proud to acknowledge this family-owned and operated business for their service to ACCES and to their community!

C&D Group

Another local business, C&D Group, was in the midst of collaborating with ACCES to rebrand and reconfigure some of our offices. To their credit, C&D were able to help ACCES pivot at the beginning of the pandemic and take into account the safety of our physical spaces for when our workforce would eventually return. C&D Group helped us develop our physical environments both safely and on-brand; they are to be commended for their flexible, conscientious and collaborative work with ACCES during the pandemic.

Mormark Print Productions Inc.

Mormark Print Productions has been serving Toronto since 1987. They, too, have helped ACCES pivot during the pandemic by providing additional services outside of their main line of business. ACCES obtained face shields, warning labels and door decals to prepare our offices for our staff to return to work.

All of these businesses have helped ACCES serve our communities during the pandemic and they are the best example of how Canadians band together to help each other in times of crises. ACCES sincerely celebrates their efforts.
