People from across Canada and around the world come to learn, teach and do research at Queen’s University. The Custodial Support Services Team in Facilities supports their success by providing a clean, safe, and healthy environment. But that is not all! The Custodial Support Services Team plays an important role as ambassadors for the university. Their daily contact with students, faculty, staff and visitors helps the university to be a welcoming and friendly place.

Facilities is now hiring three (3) Continuing Caretakers to join the Custodial Support Services Team. Successful applicants will work Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and will be assigned to one of the following Caretaker Specialist Teams:

• Yellow Team: Primarily clean student learning areas such as, classrooms/auditoriums, non-research labs, research labs and libraries.
• Green Team: Primarily clean public and common areas, such as elevators, stairs, cafeterias and hallways.
• Project Team: Primarily preform extractions and floor restoration, replace old or broken essential items (i.e. lightbulbs) and complete dusting on very high areas.
