Celebrating National ERG Day: Building Community, Belonging, and Inclusive Leadership at ACCES

Today, as organizations across the country mark National Employee Resource Group (ERG) Day, ACCES is proud to celebrate the ways our ERGs strengthen connection, spark conversation, and make our workplace feel more like a community.

Embedding EDI in Our Mission and Our Culture

Equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) are tightly woven into our mission. They shape how we serve jobseekers and how we work together as colleagues. With support from our EDI Council, ACCES One, we work intentionally to build a culture where everyone feels respected, welcomed, and encouraged to grow.

With executive support, we’ve strengthened employee engagement through a growing number of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). These groups create meaningful spaces for staff to share experiences, support one another, and help guide our organization toward greater inclusion.

Our Employee Resource Groups: Spaces for Connection and Shared Experience

Our diverse and vibrant group of ERGs at ACCES, are rooted in community building and cultural pride. Together, they include:

  • BACC (Black Action Coalition for Change) – Encouraging dialogue, leadership, and advocacy for Black staff across ACCES.
  • Pride A+ – Supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ staff and allies in building a more inclusive and affirming workplace.
  • SAGE (South Asian Group for Empowerment) – Creating space for South Asian colleagues to connect, celebrate culture, and strengthen representation.
  • MENA (Middle Eastern & North African) –Amplifying the voices and experiences of staff with MENA heritage.
  • SOMOS – A community for Latin and Hispanic staff to celebrate identity, deepen connection, and amplify cultural pride.

These groups bring people together through culture, conversation, learning, and support. They help ensure every member of our team feels part of something meaningful and has space to contribute their voice and experience.

Living Our Commitment Every Day

Our ERGs demonstrate that belonging is built through everyday actions — listening, learning from one another, and creating space for different perspectives. Their leadership strengthens our culture and supports the shared purpose that guides our work.

We’re grateful to all ERG members, leaders, and allies for the time, care, and commitment they bring. Their contributions help make ACCES a workplace where people feel supported and able to participate fully.
