Healthy Genie is a woman owned food product company that specializes in date based spreads and snacks that are all natural, vegan and made using premium ingredients without added sugar or preservatives. We are proudly Canadian and our spreads are registered under the #Ontariomade program. Our mission is to prove that healthy is delicious and chic! We want to elevate how Canadians eat dates and help provide a healthier alternative to sugar loaded snacks and spreads. Our products are all nutritionist approved, they taste like a treat but one you don’t hide from the kids!
The Entrepreneurship Connections program helped me define my value proposition and to narrow down my services and products. To specialize in a few things rather than offer a big range of products and that helped me focus my attention on what really speaks to me in terms of my passion and what products I really wanted to introduce and focus on. It was also my first experience in learning and creating a business plan and the first time I had to pitch my business to a group of companies.
