On May 8, 2025, ACCES Employment, in collaboration with Interac and TD, hosted the Building Financial Confidence in Newcomers Summit, a dynamic event designed to support newcomers to Canada through financial literacy training, fraud prevention education, and career development opportunities.
The summit brought together hundreds of internationally trained professionals and jobseekers, alongside industry leaders and community partners, to help newcomers build the confidence and skills needed for success in the Canadian workforce.
Participants explored key financial topics critical to newcomer success including fraud prevention, building personal financial literacy, navigating financial services, and career networking and job search strategies. Attendees heard from an impressive lineup of speakers who shared insights on inclusive hiring, financial empowerment, and building resilient careers.
One of the day’s highlights was our Speed Mentoring® sessions, where jobseekers connected directly with industry professionals to gain personalized advice and build valuable career networks.
