Peel Multi-Sector Hiring Event Connects Hundreds to New Opportunities

We hosted one of our largest multi-sector hiring events of the year at the Adult Education Centre – Mississauga Campus on September 17, 2025.  Jobseekers connected face-to-face with some of Canada’s leading employers, resulting in more than 600 interviews and countless doors opened to exciting career opportunities. Innovative Partnerships Create Real-World Impact  

Last month, we hosted a first-of-its-kind Speed Mentoring® event in Kincardine to connect skilled jobseekers with career opportunities in Ontario’s energy sector.   Recognizing that geography can be a barrier, Bruce Power chartered a bus to bring ACCES clients from Toronto to Kincardine, breaking down location barriers and making the event accessible and inclusive for all participants.   The event brought together 42 jobseekers with professionals from Bruce Power and employer partners including AtkinsRéalis, Kinectrics, and Day & Zimmerman. ACCES Employment Secures Future Skills Centre Support to Expand Health English Language Pro (HELP) Program

We’re pleased to announce that our Health English Language Pro (HELP) program is one of 35 initiatives that have been awarded funding through a $7.6 million investment by the Future Skills Centre, funded by the Government of Canada’s Future Skills program. HELP connects internationally trained newcomer physicians with experienced volunteer physicians to enhance their medical language and communication skills and deepen their understanding of Canadian healthcare systems. Last month, our very own Sue Sadler, Senior VP of Services and Program Innovation, represented ACCES Employment on the global stage as part of a SSHRC-funded and Carleton University-led initiative focused on migration and integration. Sue joined scholars, civil society leaders, and Canadian government representatives in Poland and Kazakhstan to share Canada’s experience supporting newcomers—highlighting the critical role organizations like ACCES Employment play in helping refugees and immigrants successfully integrate into the workforce.
