Connecting to Careers in Biomanufacturing is a program that helps internationally trained newcomers with backgrounds in life sciences secure meaningful employment in Ontario’s growing biomanufacturing sector.
Delivered in partnership with the Canadian Advanced Therapies Training Institute (CATTI), BioTalent Canada and Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), you’ll learn Canadian biomanufacturing industry standards, sector-specific terminology, and effective job search strategies needed for long-term success.
Employment support
- Full-time, hybrid 7-week program
- 12 months of job coaching and employment services
- Job search training tailored to the biomanufacturing sector (resume writing, interview practice, personal branding)

Technical and essential skills / futureproofing
- In-depth industry training from the Canadian Advanced Therapies Training Institute (CATTI):
– Introduction to the industry of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP)
– Advanced Therapies Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) onboarding - Technical skills fundamentals training provided by BioTalent Canada
- Biomanufacturing-specific communication training delivered by Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), with certificate upon completion

- Learn in a hybrid training model with integrated learning modules, interactive sessions, and engaging events

- Newcomer to Canada – permanent resident, convention refugee, refugee claimant with one year work permit
- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 7
- Minimum of two years professional experience in biomanufacturing sector outside of Canada
- Have not been away from the life sciences field for a period longer than two years
