Technical training is delivered by the Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) and is designed to reflect current manufacturing practices and employer expectations.

Through the program, participants will:

  • Complete five stackable micro-credentials in key areas of smart manufacturing
  • Develop practical technical skills aligned with industry needs
  • Gain experience through collaborative industry projects and employer-led activities
  • Build workplace communication, job-search and interview skills
  • Connect with hiring employers and industry mentors
  • Receive personalized employment support
  • Access ongoing job-retention support after securing employment

This program may be a good fit for you if you:

  • Are legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Are committed to completing the full 14-week program
  • Are interested in pursuing employment in manufacturing or a related sector
  • Have strong verbal and written English communication skills equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark 7
  • Identify as a member of an eligible equity-deserving group
