Project Management for Engineers is an 8-week full-time program designed to support internationally trained engineering professionals to succeed in the Canadian labour market. This program assists participants with enhancing their project management skills in the Canadian context, finding employment in their field, and preparing for the PMP exam program. The program is delivered in collaboration with Toronto Metropolitan University.
To be eligible for the program, clients must reside in Ontario and hold valid Permanent Residence status, etc. in Canada. See program full eligibility criteria for details.
Program Components
- 8-week program
- Academic training from a recognized educational institution on Project Management Fundamentals, PMP Exam Preparation (graduates will be earning 35 PDUs)
- Sector-specific workshops such as PMI Application Process, Canadian Contracting Process
- Future skills training including creative problem solving, workplace communication, growth mindset, and more
- Employment preparation and job search support, including various job search tools
- One-to-one support from an Employment Consultant who is knowledgeable about the sector
- Experiential learning

Program Eligibility
- CLB 7 or higher preferred
- Post-secondary education in Engineering from outside Canada
- Permanent Residence, Naturalized Canadian Citizen, Convention Refugee, or Refugee Claimant with 1-year Canadian work permit
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the engineering project management field from outside Canada

Program Fees
The fee for the Project Management for Engineers component is $420+tax (includes books/materials). This fee offsets the academic portion of the program. Registered participants may be eligible for Ontario Bridging Participant Assistance Program – OBPAP.
